Bramanbariya A slogan ‘Knowing will prevent corruption’ with workshop was held on Right to Information Act

Students of Brahmanbaria Municipal College were informed about the Right to Information Act. Orientation workshop organized by Yes Group with the help of Conscious Citizens Committee (SANAK), TIB elaborated on Right to Information Act.
An orientation workshop on ‘Right to Information Act-2009’ was held on Thursday under the slogan ‘Information is power, knowledge is power, corruption will be prevented’. College Principal Harilal Chandra Debnath was the chief guest at the orientation under the chairmanship of YES sub-committee and Sanak member Mohammad Arju.
Speaking at the workshop, TIB Area Coordinator. Abul Kalam Azad said that the Right to Information Act should be implemented by creating more awareness among young people. Service providers will be responsible for providing information to authorities voluntarily and on demand by practicing the Right to Information Act and related policies.
SANAK member Mohammad Arju said, ‘If awareness can be raised about the Right to Information Act, the tendency to apply for information in various institutions will increase.’ He expressed hope that the institutions providing this kind of orientation will be encouraged to disclose self-motivated information.
Chief Guest Principal Harilal Chandra Debnath said, ‘To reduce corruption in the society, the youth must fulfill their responsibilities. And for this, the Right to Information Act 2009 will play an effective role. He advised everyone to be aware of the Right to Information Act and increase enforcement.
