Bodies of two youths recovered in Nabinagar

Police have recovered the bodies of two youths from separate places in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria. The bodies were recovered from Gopinathpur in the municipal area and Maheshpur village in the upazila on Wednesday (April 1) morning, confirmed Nabinagar Police Station OC (Investigation) Rajib Kanti Nath. One of the deceased is Easy Biker Ashiq Barman (16), son of Badal Barman of Gopinathpur Mantala village, and the other is Atiq Islam (19), son of Khalil Mia of Maheshpur village.

According to family sources, Ashiq did not return home on Tuesday night; his body was found hanging from a mango tree near his house the next morning. On the other hand, Atiq Islam had been missing since last Eid-ul-Fitr and his body was found floating in a pond near his house on Wednesday morning. Ashiq’s father has filed a written complaint with the police station in this incident. Police have sent both bodies to the district hospital morgue for autopsy and have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
