Mosahid Ahmed, Moulvibazar: SI (Unarmed) Obaidullah, in-charge of Sherpur Police Outpost of Moulvibazar district, has been selected as first Best SI (Unarmed) of Moulvibazar district and later as Best SI (Unarmed) of Sylhet Range in “Recognition of Performance” for the month of July-2026. On Tuesday (August 4), Sylhet Range DIG Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman presented him with a commemorative plaque and certificate at the monthly crime review meeting organized at the Sylhet Range DIG office. After achieving this recognition, SI (Unarmed) Obaidullah expressed deep gratitude and said that this achievement is not his alone; it is the result of the guidance of senior officers, sincere cooperation of colleagues and team efforts. He expressed his special gratitude to Moulvibazar Police Superintendent Monirul Islam, Additional Police Superintendent (Sadar Circle) Abul Khoyer, Officer-in-Charge of Moulvibazar Sadar Model Police Station Saiful Islam, Police Inspector (Investigation) Sumon Chandra Sarkar and all his colleagues at Sherpur Police Station. He mentioned that their overall cooperation, guidance and inspiration played an important role in achieving this excellence. He was awarded this honor for his significant contribution to improving the quality of police services, suppressing crime, settling cases, conducting regular arrest operations and preventing drug and smuggling.
