The learned administrative court of Kulaura rejected the bail application of Agrani Bank Kulaura branch officer Sujit Kumar Dey in the case of physical abuse of the wife of a school teacher in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar and ordered him to be sent to prison. In this regard, on April 1, Additional Superintendent of Police of Kulaura Circle, Dipankar Ghosh, visited the scene and heard the statements of victims and witnesses about the signs of brutality in Sujit Kumar Dey’s living room. On the other hand, accused No. 2 in this case, Santosh Dey, elder brother of Sujith, has been alleged to be threatening the witnesses of the case in various ways. The victim school teacher claimed that the elder brother of the main accused, Santosh Dey, is doing various mischief including threats by some people to divert the case to a different sector. How Santosh De is walking around openly and threatening the witnesses not to testify in the women torture case, is the question of conscious circles. On March 24, Agrani Bank Kulaura branch officer Sujit Kumar Dey (55) was arrested and sent to jail when Sanchita Rani Dev, a teacher of Chunghar Government Primary School, wife of that bank officer, filed a case no- (19/24) under the Prevention of Women and Child Torture Act at the Kulaura police station. . According to the case, in 2005 Sanchita Rani Dev, a school teacher resident of the municipality, got married to Sujit Kumar De, son of Sunil Chandra De, a resident of Chunghar, Kadipur Union of the upazila. They also have 2 daughters. For 10-11 years, she has been enduring physical and mental abuse from her husband. There was no change in Sujith’s inhumane behavior even though there were several arbitral meetings. In the complaint of the case, school teacher Sanchita Dev mentioned that since 7-8 years ago, he used to create pressure to hand over the full amount of salary and allowances, otherwise he used to physically torture them. Recently, Sujit Kumar De demanded 10 lakh rupees on the instigation of his elder brother to pay the bank loan. For that money, on February 19, he tried to hit his head with batida. Sanchita Rani De sustained severe bloody injuries on three fingers of her hand to save her head in the attack. Police rescued him from the scene when he called 999 with serious physical injuries. First he was admitted to Kulaura Hospital. He was sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital as his injuries were serious. After receiving treatment, he filed a written complaint at the Kulaura police station on Saturday, March 23. Meanwhile, following the complaint, Sujit Kumar Dey was arrested by the Kulaura police station and handed over to the court on Sunday, March 24. The plaintiff in the case said that on March 27, when Sujit Kumar Dey sought bail through 8-10 lawyers in the learned administrative court of Moulvibazar Kulaura, after a long hearing in the learned administrative court, the learned court denied bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.
