Zakir Hossain:
Allegations of misconduct, immoral activities and defamatory statements against Mridula Biswas, the nursing supervisor of Goalanda Upazila Health Complex in Rajbari. Out of 43 nurses working in the hospital, 29 nurses have filed written complaints to the higher authorities regarding this. There is currently intense anger and dissatisfaction among the nurses and aides working in the hospital.
It is alleged that the nursing supervisor of the hospital, Mrs. Mridula Biswas, has arbitrarily and secretly performed MR and D&C in the absence of a gynecologist at various times and has taken financial benefits, putting the patient’s life at risk. In addition, she has taken financial benefits by showing extra food outside the hospital to patients who have been admitted to the hospital for a long time. Later, she covered it up by exerting political influence.
In addition, he often uses insulting and derogatory language with colleagues in front of doctors, patients and patients, which is damaging their professional environment. Even his behavior with nannies and sweepers sometimes reaches an indecent level, which is mentally stressful for everyone. Even incidents like talking about family and personal matters have occurred, which is very sad and is ruining their work environment. Many times he has made false accusations against them and threatened to see them in the future. He also misbehaves with many people regarding duty rosters. In addition, he harasses them in various ways due to various previous incidents, which is affecting their mental health.
In addition, when I talked to some nurses, they said that because of him alone they have to suffer from disrespect everywhere. Nurses are the lifeblood of a hospital, but he treats everyone badly, those who are dear to him get opportunities everywhere, but those who speak against him are subjected to torture. He creates mental unrest in them. Besides, he has a separate key to control the OT to do DMC illegally.
Mridula Biswas, nursing supervisor of A Goalanda Upazila Health Complex, said on the phone that there are many nurses in the hospital who have to be seen. There may be tension with them over duty, but no one is mistreated. He denied the allegations of DMC and other issues in the OTT room.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. SM Masud said on the phone that he has received the investigation report and has sent the matter to the DGF in Dhaka and the higher authorities. Moreover, he said that they do not control transfers or punishments.
