Eidgah Adarsh ​​High School of Cox’s Bazar, allegations have been made against the headmaster of misappropriating money, doing private business by making class routines with preferred teachers without following the rules, misusing school resources and extorting money from students under various pretexts for spoiling the educational environment of the school. To take action against the complaint, the 4 elected members of the school management committee have filed a written complaint with the Education Minister, Directorate of Education, Anti-Corruption Commission, District Commissioner and District Education Officer. They are, parent members Eidgah Union Parishad Chairman Chayed Alam, Shahid Ullah Miyaji, SM Sarwar Kamal, Ramzan Ali. In the written complaint, they said that the head teacher of Eidgah Adarsh ​​High School Khurshidul Jannat embezzled at least 1 crore 78 lakh 70 thousand taka from the school in the last 3 years. Among them, the sectors are 23 lakh 50 thousand taka from the provident fund of the school teachers and employees for 27 months, appreciation letter without any receipt, 25 lakh taka for board certificate and confirmation fee, extra taka 33 lakh for salami without receipt under the cover of 33 shops of the school. 30 lakhs in the name of development in tender, 1 lakh 80 thousand for collecting rent without receipt in a shop within the school shop, embezzlement of 2022 and 2023 admission form money without giving it to the school fund 2 lakh, 1 lakh 50 thousand in the name of correct pronunciation training in 2022, SSC in 2023 Accepting and embezzling 5 lakhs of deposit fees from the candidates, Irregularities in the construction of market in schools. All together embezzled a total of Rs 1 crore 78 lakh from the school fund which the complainants claim to have every proof. Also, by spoiling the learning environment of the school, the headmaster has made the whole school a sanctuary of private business with his own teacher by doing the class routine as he wants. There is no class of the headmaster according to the current class routine. Besides, according to the new curriculum, if it is mandatory to give maths and English classes in 6th and 7th class, the teachers who have got mortar trainer in maths and English, it was not given. Although there are no rules, an important class has been given to a teacher named Mozammel Haque with HSC pass. Although Nurul Absa is a teacher under MPO in business education department, she was not given accounting class. Even though the school has enough B.Sc. and business education department teachers, Mohammad Alam, a part-time teacher who was appointed illegally, has been teaching 8th, 9th, and 10th class mathematics and science classes year after year, even though he was appointed in business management. In the same way, part-time teacher Gias Uddin has been appointed in the accounting science department, but he has been teaching 9th and 10th class English classes, which is completely outside the rules. The school’s BSc teacher Rafiqul Islam has got 2 math clubs in different classes, but the part-time teacher who has been appointed in other departments despite having no qualifications: Alam and Delwar got 3 classes each in mathematics. Chairman of Eidgah Sadar Union Chayed Alam said that Eidgah Adarsh ​​High School has reached this stage today and we and our predecessors have contributed a lot. But some outsiders are looting the resources of this school by misusing the current power. He was joined by the current head teacher Khurshidul Jannat. Even though her husband has no income of his own, there are many fraud and check cases. But it is alleged that the head teacher bought a flat in Koba Tower behind the most expensive Thana Road in Cox’s Bazar with a small salary and is living there. He regularly comes to school with a reserve car. Meanwhile, several students of the ninth and tenth classes of the school said that the important classes are conducted by many inexperienced teachers. And starting from 6th standard some teachers are forced to teach privately. If you don’t read private, you are harassed in various ways. The headmaster is directly involved in these things. When asked about this, the headmaster Khurshidul Jannat claims that the allegations are not true. He said, I am a victim of local politics. And everyone knows that there has been a radical change in education including school infrastructure during my time. Therefore, many people are spoiling the educational environment of the school by making frivolous complaints. In this regard, Sadar Upazila Education Officer Md. Salim Uddin said that we have received some complaints about Eidgah Adarsh ​​High School. All those matters are being investigated. In this regard, District Education Officer Md. Nashir Uddin said, I have received many complaints about the said school. As far as I know, the investigation is going on at the upazila level. We will investigate again.
