Mirsarai constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Nurul Amin attended the distribution ceremony today at the Upazila Parishad auditorium as the chief guest and handed over the incentives to the local farmers.
Emphasizing the increase of agricultural production and support for farmers, MP Nurul Amin said in his speech:
”The current government is highly farmer-friendly. Whether during the Covid-19 crisis or the global economic slowdown, the government has always stood by the farmers and will continue to do so. These incentives will play a crucial role in further enriching Mirsarai’s agricultural sector and boosting crop production. We must ensure that no arable land remains uncultivated.”
The event was also attended by former Convener of Baraiyarhat Pourashava BNP Didarul Alam Miyaji, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sumaiya Akter, the Upazila Agriculture Officer, along with senior officials from the local administration and political leaders.
According to the Upazila Agriculture Office, chemical fertilizers, high-quality organic fertilizers, various crop seeds, and fruit-bearing and forest saplings were distributed among listed marginal and small farmers to increase yield for the Kharif and Rabi seasons of the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
Local farmers expressed high satisfaction upon receiving the incentives. They noted that getting fertilizers and seeds at the right time would significantly lower their cultivation costs, making them optimistic about a bumper harvest.
