Comilla District Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan (BPM) awarded a special award to OC Abdullah Al Mahfuz of Laksam Police Station, an honest, efficient and smart police officer, for his meritorious work after the learned court sentenced all the accused to death after filing the charge sheet after uncovering the mystery of a murder case.
On the morning of August 14, 2017, Laksam Thana police recovered the half-melted body of an unidentified person in a reservoir on the side of the road at Noapara on the Laksam-Mudafarganj regional road of Comilla district.
At that time, Abdullah Al Mahfuz was an honest, efficient and smart police officer who was in charge of Laksam Police Station as Officer-in-Charge (OC). He is currently serving as Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laksam Police Station again for the second time.
After the recovery of the body of the unknown person, after confirming the identity of the body, within a month, 4 persons including the mastermind of the murder case were arrested one by one and later filed a charge sheet along with uncovering the mystery of the murder case. At the end of the trial, the learned court ordered the death penalty for all the 5 accused. In view of this, Comilla District Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan BPM awarded special award to the honest, efficient and alert police officer Abdullah Al Mahfuz of Laksam Police Station for his meritorious work.
