Financial donations have been distributed to all puja mandaps in Barura, Comilla on the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja. Comilla South District Awami League Vice President A ZM Shafiuddin Shamim distributed the financial donation in a ceremony organized at Narsinghdev and Jagannathdev Central Temple of Barura Municipality on Saturday, September 14 morning. Barura Upazila Puja Celebration Council President Babu Dr. Tapan Bhowmik spoke on the occasion, former Navy Chief and former District Council Chairman Rear Admiral Abu Taher, Joint Secretary Babu Monindra Kishore Majumdar, former Barura Upazila Chairman Hafiz Ahmed and others.
In the speech of the chief guest, Shafiuddin Shamim said that religious neutrality was one of the foundations of our freedom motto. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman always gave priority to religious neutrality. We all want to live together, we want to create a beautiful environment for everyone to practice their religion without fear and freedom. The donation we have given is not so much, I have come here today to express my solidarity with the Honorable Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina who is running the state in a harmonious environment on the principle of secularism. Our assistance will continue to ensure that every function of Sardiya Durga Puja is completed smoothly and beautifully.
In the event, the representatives of 94 mandaps of Barura accepted the donation money on behalf of their respective mandaps. It should be noted that for the last 5 years Shafiuddin Shamim has been giving this donation to all the puja mandapams of the SQ Foundation.

Bahaduruzzaman, Vice Chairman of Barura Upazila Parishad and Vice President of Barura Upazila Awami League Md.
