 Laxmipur No. 20 Chararamani Mohan Union Ward No. 2 Karatir Hat Road is a dilapidated bridge over the canal adjacent to the embankment. Due to the lack of supervision for a long time, the dangerous bridge has been left in an abandoned state. No renovation or reconstruction work has been done since then. Residents also said that they have seen journalists taking pictures of dangerous bridges for five years now. But they do not see construction work. And there is no alternative road to the only empty road for the movement of hundreds of people in the area. All types of vehicles including trolleys, CNG, auto rickshaws are plying. When asked why the construction of the dilapidated bridge is not being done, Member of Ward No. 2 UP Member Kamrul Sarkar said, Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Chairman Sala Uddin Tipu and LGED officials have abandoned us for constructing the dangerous bridge. The application was made and they visited the site and took measurements of the bridge. But the sad thing is that they come and take measurements but do not see the construction work. However, our demand is that it is necessary to build this dangerous bridge as soon as possible. Otherwise, the bridge may collapse and cause serious accidents and many lives may be lost.
