Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel, (Patuakhali): On November 19, around noon, child Abir fell into a pond while playing at his home and drowned. After a while, the family members searched for him. After a while, uncle Anich Howlader rescued child Abir (4) from the pond and took him to the 50-bed government hospital in Galachipa. At 2 pm, the on-duty doctor Md. Tushar Ahmed declared him dead.
The deceased, a child, was the son of Latif Hawlader, a betel farmer from Athkhali village in Dakua union of the upazila.
The parents were going crazy and losing consciousness repeatedly due to the death of their only son, and a shadow of grief was prevailing in the hospital area.
According to the deceased’s family, Abir was the only son of Latif Hawlader after his two daughters.
Later, after completing the necessary work at the hospital, the family took the baby Abir to his home.
