Tree plantation program, inauguration of new building of Upazila Parishad, distribution of golden citizen cards among disabled people, distribution of saplings and seeds among farmers and distribution of rice and donation checks among fire-affected families have been organized in Jhalokati Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Thursday (July 16) by the upazila administration.
The program was organized as the chief guest at the program by the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health (State Minister’s rank) Dr. S. M. Ziauddin Haider.
Jhalokati Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin was the special guest. Jhalokati Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ms. Segufta Mehnaz presided over the program. The chief guest inaugurated the new building of the Upazila Parishad and later participated in a tree plantation program. Then he handed over the golden citizen cards to the disabled. At the same time, various types of seedlings and agricultural inputs were distributed among the farmers and checks of rice and financial assistance were given to the family members affected by the fire.
Officials of various government departments, public representatives, farmers, disabled people, beneficiaries and local dignitaries were present at the time.
The Upazila Agriculture Officer’s Office, Upazila Social Service Officer’s Office and Upazila Project Implementation Officer’s Office cooperated in the implementation of the program.
