National Rural Development Day was celebrated in Pabna with various arrangements. On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally was taken out in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday (July 06) morning.
The rally, jointly organized by the District Administration and Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB), Pabna, ended at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room after parading various roads. Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting. Pabna Police Superintendent Sufi Ullah, Bangladesh Rural Development Board Pabna Deputy Director A.K.M. Zakirul Islam and many others also spoke at the meeting.
The speakers highlighted the importance of rural development activities in rural development, poverty alleviation, employment creation and sustainable development. Officials from various government departments, public representatives and people from different professions were present at the event. At the end of the discussion meeting, loan checks and tree seedlings were distributed among the members of the Rural Development Party’s small entrepreneurs and farmers’ cooperative associations.
