Kalihati in farewell to HSC examinees and distribution of Bengali dictionaries among meritorious students

Anisur Rahman Shelly : A farewell reception for the 2026 HSC examinees of Alauddin Siddiqui College and a Bangla dictionary distribution ceremony among 204 meritorious students from classes 6 to 10 of Karimunnesa Siddiqui High School were held in Kalihati, Tangail.
Former Minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui was present as the chief guest at the event organized at Auliabad Auditorium cum Multipurpose Hall on Friday (26 June 2026). Former MPs Laila Siddiqui and Karimunnesa Siddiqui, along with the headmaster of High School, Mr. Abul Kashem, were special guests.
Mr. Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan, Acting Principal of Alauddin Siddiqui College, presided over the function and delivered the welcome address. At the function, farewell reception and prayers were offered to 137 HSC examinees of 2026 for their success.
In his speech as the chief guest, Abdul Latif Siddiqui said, “Students are like raw materials. They will learn the way they are taught; they will develop in the environment they grow in.” He highlighted various problems in the current education system and called for effective initiatives to improve the quality of education.
Special guest Laila Siddiqui emphasized on increasing regular communication between teachers, students and parents and provided various guidelines for improving the environment and quality of education.
At the event, the guests distributed three Bangla dictionaries from Bangla Academy, namely Bangla to English, English to Bangla, and Bangla Dictionary (Practical), among 204 meritorious students of Karimunnesa Siddiqui High School, and presented crests to 05 meritorious students of Alauddin Siddiqui College in the years 2024 and 2025.
The program was moderated by Mohammad Ariful Islam, a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Alauddin Siddiqui College.
