Towhid Hossain Sarkar: A driving training course has been inaugurated at Dhanuakhola Bazar in Comilla with the aim of improving the skills of the youth and expanding employment opportunities. Local dignitaries, social and political leaders were present at the inauguration ceremony held at 4 pm on Thursday (25 June 2026).
Nayeb-e-Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Comilla Metropolitan City, Chairman of Insaf Group and prominent industrialist Professor A. K. M. Emdadul Haque Mamun spoke as the chief guest at the event.
He said, “In the present era, developing a skilled workforce is one of the prerequisites for the country’s development. Driving, as a promising profession, is creating massive employment opportunities at home and abroad. Such training will help the youth become self-reliant.”
The speakers said that if a large number of the country’s youth are to be transformed into skilled human resources, there is no alternative to up-to-date technical and vocational training. Driving training will increase the work efficiency of the youth, while also creating new employment opportunities at home and abroad. They termed such initiatives as timely and commendable.
At the end of the ceremony, the official opening of the training course was announced.
Presided over by Alhaj Abdul Quader, special guest Maulana Delwar Hossain Sabuj, member of the Shura and Executive Council of Comilla Metropolitan City, was also present.
Union Ameer Kazi Zakir Hossain, Haji Mohammad Mohsin, Faiz Ahmed Munshi, and other leaders and dignitaries from various levels of the area were present.
