Information and planning meeting held in Kaptai on National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign-2026

An information and planning meeting has been held in Kaptai Upazila for the successful implementation of the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign-2026.
The meeting, held on Thursday (June 25) at the meeting room of Upazila Health Complex, Kaptai, was organized by the Public Health Nutrition Institute and implemented by Upazila Health Complex, Kaptai, Rangamati Hill District.
The meeting, moderated by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ruihala Ang Marma, was attended by Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Raihanul Islam as the chief guest.
Kaptai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, Family Planning Officer Dr. Naima Islam, Kaptai Regional Training Center (NIPORT) Training Officer Choyan Barua, Upazila Assistant Information Officer Md. Delwar Hossain and Assistant Education Officer Syed Mahdul Hasan.
In addition, officers and employees of the Upazila Health and Family Planning Office, nurses and responsible persons at various levels were present in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that on June 28, 2026, under the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign, a total of 5,991 children aged 6 months to 5 years will be fed Vitamin ‘A’ capsules in 121 centers of Kaptai Upazila.
The speakers at the meeting emphasized on creating widespread public awareness, strengthening publicity and ensuring the participation of guardians to make the campaign successful.
In his speech as the chief guest, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Raihanul Islam said that the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign is an important program to ensure the good health of children. Vitamin ‘A’ plays an important role in increasing the immunity of children and in normal development. This program should be made successful with the coordinated efforts of the Health Department, public representatives, teachers, media workers and all concerned. I urge the parents to bring their children to the nearest center on the scheduled day and ensure that they take Vitamin ‘A’ capsules. At the end of the meeting, everyone’s cooperation was sought to make the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign on June 28 a hundred percent success.
