Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel, Galachipa (Patuakhali) : Jamila, a talented student from Galachipa, Patuakhali, has become the best in the Barisal division after crossing the ladder of success one after another with indomitable willpower, hard work and the right guidance of her teachers. Her dream is now to achieve success at the national level and become the best in the country. Jamila has secured first place in the Barisal division in the girls’ high jump competition of the country’s Primary Education Medal-2026. She is a fifth-grade student of Ratnadi Government Primary School in Galachipa Upazila. She achieved this feat by leaving behind competitors from six districts of Barisal division at the divisional level.
It is learned that Jamila is the daughter of Md. Shahjalal of Ratnadi village of Galachipa Sadar Union. She was interested in sports since childhood. She has been proving her skills by regularly participating in school sports competitions.
Jamila first participated in the Primary Education Medal competition at the union level and won. Then she maintained her superiority by defeating her rivals at the upazila and district levels. She brought glory to Galachipa upazila by participating in the last divisional level and securing the first place in Barisal division.
Expressing her feelings of success, student Jamila said, “I am very happy. My parents and teachers have contributed the most to this achievement. This success would not have been possible without their encouragement and support. I want to do well at the national level as well. Everyone should pray for me.”
Jamila’s father Md. Shahjalal said, “We are proud of my daughter’s success. I hope she will do better and make Patuakhali shine at the national level as well.”
Lutfunnahar, acting headmaster of Ratnadi Government Primary School, said, “Jamila is a very talented and hardworking student. She has been consistently achieving good results. The news of coming first at the divisional level has created an atmosphere of joy in the entire area, including the teachers and students of the school. Now our goal is to continue this success by participating at the national level.”
He further said, “We are seeking prayers from everyone for Jamila, so that she can fulfill her dream of becoming the best in the country by achieving success at the national level as well.”
According to locals, Jamila’s success is a source of pride not only for her family but also for the entire Galachipa and Patuakhali. Her achievement will also encourage other students to participate in sports and co-curricular activities.
