The results of the SSC and equivalent examinations will be published on July 20. Specific and final instructions have been given to all education boards in the country for this purpose.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon gave this information in response to questions from journalists at a press conference held at the conference room of the Ministry of Education on Monday afternoon.

The press conference was organized to discuss various ongoing programs of the ministry, including the national-level ‘Startup, Science Project and Innovative Concept Exhibition Program’ and the Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj and Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Mahdi Amin were present as special guests at the event.

Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon said, ‘The government is committed to facilitating the path of students to higher education and preventing waste of time after the examination. In line with this, all processes, including the evaluation of the ongoing SSC examination books, are being completed expeditiously. The results of this examination will be published simultaneously nationwide by July 20. The boards have been instructed to make overall preparations accordingly.’

Emphasizing on maintaining punctuality in the education sector, the minister said, ‘A lot of time is wasted in the lives of our students due to session jams. Where education is supposed to end at the age of 18, many are passing 20 years due to session jams.

He said, if we want to take full advantage of the demographic dividend, we have to stop this waste of time. We are bringing not only SSC, but also higher secondary and university level sessions within a specific framework.

In the country’s higher educational institutions, 3-year courses will have to be completed in 3 years and 5-year courses in 5 years, no waiting sessions or delays will be tolerated.’

Regarding the plan for the SSC examination for the next academic year, the minister said that the syllabus of the students will be completed by June 2026. In order to completely eliminate session jams, a draft routine has been prepared after discussing with stakeholders to start the SSC examination on January 7, 2027 and end on February 8. However, we are monitoring the reactions and opinions of people from all walks of life regarding the routine. If necessary, a final decision will be taken after discussing it again with students, teachers and guardians.

Senior officials of two departments of the Ministry of Education and the directors general of the concerned departments were present at the press conference.
