A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and the British Council to establish an IELTS registration center to make the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) program easier and more student-friendly. As a result, from now on, IELTS exam registration will also be conducted at BAU. In this, students of the university as well as candidates from Mymensingh region will be able to register for the IELTS exam easily.
The agreement was officially signed at a bilateral meeting on the Bangladesh Agricultural University campus on Saturday (May 9) afternoon.
At that time, Registrar Agriculturist Dr. Helal Uddin signed the agreement in the presence of the university’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan and British Council Country Director Stephen Forbes. Officials of Bangladesh Agricultural University and officials of the British Council were present at the event.
The speakers at the event said that the importance of English language skills in higher education, research and international communication is increasing day by day. This initiative will create new opportunities for students in international education and career development. In addition, mutual cooperation between the university and the British Council will be further strengthened.
