The grand inauguration of Shipu Makeover and Training Center was held on Saturday, May 9, at the intersection of Konapara Farm in Demra, the capital (with Dutch-Bangla Booth).
Shipon Akhter Kohinoor, a woman entrepreneur, said, “I am a stylist at Shipu Beauty Parlor. I have been working with women for 12 years. Beauty parlors are the only safe place for women, as no man is allowed to enter this profession. It is the only safe workplace and service organization for women.
Md. Bazlur Rahman, a candidate for Ward No. 64 Councilor (Independent) in the upcoming Dhaka South City Corporation elections, was present as the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. In his speech as the chief guest, he said, “I am very happy that today we are going to cut the ribbon of ‘Shipu Makeover and Training Center’ and start its journey.” First of all, I sincerely congratulate the entrepreneur for taking such a wonderful and timely initiative. The current era is the era of self-reliance. Women are now leaving their mark of talent and skills not only in the corners of the house, but also in the workplace. Beauty practice or beautification is now not just a hobby, it is an art and a profitable profession. I believe that Shipu Makeover and Training Center will not only serve customers through beautiful makeup, but will also play an important role in training the new generation of women to become self-reliant. I have learned that there is a system of modern quality makeover, skin care, hair styling, nail art and bridal makeup here. At the same time, there is an opportunity to learn hands-on work in the training center, which is really commendable. My message to entrepreneurs: Business is not just about profit, the main foundation of business is honesty and improved customer service. If you can ensure quality service and satisfaction of the customers, Shipu Makeover will soon become a renowned institution. My message to the trainees: Those who will come to learn at this training center, I say to them – take advantage of this opportunity. If you develop yourself as a beautician, you will be able to stand on your own feet and contribute to your family. I wish Shipu Makeover and Training Center continued prosperity and hope that this institution will be established as a model for women’s empowerment in this area. Finally, the organizer of today’s auspicious inauguration ceremony, invited guests and everyone who worked hard behind this event, thanked everyone. Earlier, he announced the official inauguration of Shipu Makeover and Training Center by cutting the ribbon and cake.
Former student leader of Demra Police Station Salauddin Ahmed, Chan Mia Aziz, and many other prominent people of the area, women and children were present at the inauguration ceremony.
