The Global Brands-TRUB Business CSR and Cultural Award-2025 and cultural program were organized by Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) on Tuesday afternoon at the Crystal Ballroom of Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka. Salam Mahmud, President of Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB), delivered the welcome speech at the program. The chief guest was the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Dr. Abu Zafar Md. Zahid Hossain MP.
The program was inaugurated by Honorable Minister of Culture Babu Nitai Roy Chowdhury MP, Honorable Administrator of Barisal City Corporation Advocate Bilkis Akhter, Honorable Member of Parliament Rafiqul Alam Majnu, Managing Director of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Kamal Uddin Sabuj, Managing Director of Boishakhi Television Md. Rafiqul Amin, Managing Director and CEO of Atithi Group Lion Saiful Islam Sohel, President of Bangladesh Journalists Unity Council (BJUC) Raju Alim.
The event will be presided over by President of SAARC Film Journalists Forum and Chief Advisor of TRAB Reduyan Khandaker. This year, TRUB Lifetime Achievement Award went to distinguished music artist Sabina Yasmin and in the culinary industry Keka Ferdousi. Musician Bashir Ahmed and lyricist Altaf Mahmud received the Manottar Award.
Also, Ferdous Ara and Khurshid Alam in music, Rehab President Dr. Mohammad Ali Afzal in the housing industry, female entrepreneur Kona Reza, Chairman of The Premier Bank PLC Dr. Arifur Rahman in the banking industry, recitation artist Shimul Mostafa, and Managing Director of Zaman’s Clinic and Hospital Mohammad Bashiruzzaman Khan in health.
Sabbir Ahmed Rony, executive member of the Alliance of Bangladesh Journalists Organization, the largest alliance of journalists, and founding chairman of Bangladesh Journalist Unity Council (BJUC), and advisory editor of the daily Swadesh Bichitra, has received an award in journalism for his contribution to journalism.
