A UP member of Kasbamazail Union of Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari has been accused of spreading false propaganda by opening his Facebook page ID. It is learned that the name of the UP member is Mintu Mondal, he is a member of Ward No. 8 of Kasbamajail Union. When we talked to him about this, he said, I have been a member of Ward No. 8 of Kasbamajail Union for almost four years, suddenly someone opened a Facebook page named Kashbamajail News and is posting various ugly, false and fabricated things targeting me and making me do business with women, trade on interest. Due to this, I and my family have found themselves in a socially embarrassing situation. He also said, “Such a heinous act is being done to undermine my political and social position. I have already informed the administration about the matter and am preparing to take legal action.”
Expressing anger over the incident, UP member of Ward No. 7 of this union, Akkas Biswas, said, “The things that have been spread on the social media Facebook page about Mintu Mandal are completely false, fabricated and baseless. I strongly condemn this incident.”
UP member of Ward No. 6, Jahangir Alam, said, “One of our UP members, Mintu Member, is writing a lot of nonsense in his name from a Facebook page called kashbamajail News. All these are false and fabricated. I strongly demand a proper investigation into this incident and those involved in it should be brought to justice.
