A wild elephant has died in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the elephant is being killed.On Wednesday (September 17) morning, locals found a dead wild elephant in the Ghona area of ​​Dochhari Rafiq under Sadar Bit under Ukhia Range.

Abdul Mannan, Ukhia Range Officer of the South Forest Division, confirmed the matter and said that the real secret of the elephant’s death will be known once the autopsy report comes. In this regard, Dochhari BIT Officer Roni Talukder said that after receiving information from a villager, a team of the Forest Department went to the spot and rescued the elephant dead. The elephant was lying dead in the northeast of Ghona Canal in Dochhari Rafiq. At that time, a lot of blood was coming out of the elephant’s mouth. At around 2 pm, the veterinary surgeon of the Livestock Office went to the spot and completed the autopsy of the dead elephant. The evidence has been collected and sent to the lab. Dochhari BIT Officer Roni Talukder also said that the cause of the elephant’s death will be known once the autopsy report comes. Currently, the dead elephant has been buried in the ground.
