Police have arrested a teenager named Shihab Mondal in a case filed on the charge of raping two students on their way home from a private school in Pansha, Rajbari. Earlier, on Sunday night (June 15), the father of the two victim students filed two rape cases at Pansha Model Police Station, accusing Shihab Mondal, son of Ujjal Mondal of Kuthimalyat village of Kasbamajail Union, and Hasmat Ali, son of Zeher Ali Mondal of the same area. Later, in one case, the Pansha Model Police Station arrested Shihab Mondal from his own area in Kuthimalyat that night. According to the case and family sources, on Sunday (June 15), around 11 am, when the two victims were returning home from school after finishing their private lessons, Sihab and Hasmat blocked our path and, after pulling out a blade from their pockets, threatened us and took us to a nearby betel nut tree and raped us.
In this regard, Pangsha Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Salauddin said, out of the two cases filed against the two school students, a person named Shihab Mondal has been arrested in one case and sent to court. The police operation is continuing to arrest the accused in the other case.
