A 3-day Bhumiseba Mela 2026 was held in Barura, Comilla.
Today, Tuesday, May 19 at 10 am, in the light of the theme of Janabandhan Automated Land Management Secured Land, Prosperous Future, the meeting was presided over by Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Ahsan Hafiz at the Barura Upazila Land Office premises, with Barura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Asaduzzaman Roni present as the chief guest.
Upazila Fisheries Officer Suraiya Zaman Nitu, Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Syed Rezaul Haque Reju, General Secretary Syed Zahirul Haque Swapan, Barura Municipality BNP President and freedom fighter Shamsul Haque Sardar, Barura Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Md. Nurul Islam, Weekly Crime News Editor Jasim Uddin Khokon, Weekly Telephone Newspaper Editor Md. Abul Hashem, Daily Jaya Zaydin Newspaper Barura Upazila Correspondent Journalist Md. Masud Majumder, Orai Apanjon Organization President Md. Ilias Ahmed spoke as special guests.
Also present at the time were Bangladesh Jewellery Association (BAJUS) Barura Upazila Branch President Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Barura Municipality BNP Joint General Secretary Md. Zakir Hossain, Organizing Secretary Mostafa Zaman Hanif, Barura Municipality Chhatra Dal General Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam Saddam. On this day, at 10 am, Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the Land Service Fair centrally from the Land Building of the Ministry of Land. In continuation of that, at a public awareness meeting at the Barura Upazila Land Office auditorium, the guests requested that in the light of the Honorable Prime Minister’s announcement of a prosperous future for protected land, each union land office of Barura Upazila should protect it from the clutches of corruption and provide services to the common people.
At this time, Barura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Asaduzzaman Roni informed the guests and service recipients about land development tax payment, name registration application and land related services for the next 3 days through the Land Service Fair.
A colorful rally took place after the auspicious inauguration of the fair.
