Krishak Sramik Janata League President Bangbir Abdul Quader Siddiqui Bir Uttam said that the 2018 election was not of any quality, the 2024 election is even worse than that. He said, I was personally very optimistic. I believed there would be a fair, free and impartial election. But it is very sad to say that the election of 24′ was worse than the election of 18′. Quader Siddiqui said these things during an exchange of views with journalists (Meet the Press) at Tangail Press Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Bangbir Quader Siddiqui said that in the 2018 election, some people still went to the polling station. voted Now that number of people do not go to the polling station, do not vote and cannot vote. In most cases, people are not motivated to vote. Not even 5 percent of the general voters went to vote. Those who belong to other parties do not go to vote even 1 percent. Even 50 percent of my own party cannot vote.
He said, I lost the election. If I really lost, then Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman also lost. There is no one before Kader Siddiqui as a follower of Bangabandhu politically in Bangladesh. I can’t tell if it’s later. If this defeat is done correctly, then it is the defeat of the liberation war, the defeat of the freedom fighters. People do not want liberation war or freedom fighters. Assuming we actually lost the election. Then people turned away from these things. And if it is called engineering, rigging, robbery, then that is another thing.
In response to a question from journalists, Bangbir Abdul Quader Siddiqui said that the government was not at ease even before the election. You will not be able to be very comfortable in the coming days.
Tangail District Krishak Sramik Janata League general secretary Salek Hossain Hitlu, central committee member Farid Ahmed and district youth movement president Atiqur Rahman Sadek were present at various levels of the party.
