104th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman celebrated in Jhalkathi

The 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been observed. The day is being celebrated as National Child and Adolescent Day across the country. The architect of independent Bangladesh, the undisputed leader of the Bengali nation, was born on this day in 1920 in a noble Muslim family in Tungipara, Gopalganj district.

To celebrate the day, the national flag will be hoisted in all government, semi-government, autonomous and private institutions and educational institutions of Jhalkathi, including all government and private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad.

 

On Sunday (March 16) at 10 am, District Commissioner Farah Gul Nijhum, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Afroozul Haque Tutul, district Awami League leaders, various social and cultural organizations paid tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the District Commissioner’s office. During this time, Deputy Commissioner along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Ruhul Amin, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Anuja Mandal and Superintendent of Police along with District Police Officer Brind were present.

Also held in various places of Jhalkathi Milad and Doa mahfil and children rally.
