The use of modern technology has become essential to prevent counterfeit products. When the demand for any product increases in the market, the fraudsters market it by duplicating it. In this, as the product manufacturing company faces loss, the health of the consumer is also at risk. Especially pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and packaged products are counterfeiting more. Md shared innovative ideas about the use of technology to prevent counterfeiting of these products. A young man named Saiful Islam. He completed B.Sc from Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dhaka International University. His house is in Charfashan upazila of Bhola.
Saiful Islam said, there is no alternative to modern technology to prevent fake products. One of which is the holographic fingerprint tag. This tag will contain a QR code with multiple levels of security. It essentially adds a layer of security to the supply chain cycle from the point of manufacture of the product to the consumer level and prevents counterfeit products from reaching the consumer. Distributors, retailers and consumers can instantly verify product authenticity through smartphones. This can create new opportunities to increase customer trust and engagement while increasing the company’s brand value.
The young man also said that if the production of fake products is not stopped, the economy of Bangladesh will go down and the government will lose revenue. Small entrepreneurs will be affected the most. Productive businesses should use this technology. Because, their products are accepted by consumers. I have been trying to implement such a system for the past year. But due to lack of money I could not convert my plan into reality. I can develop the whole system if government sponsorship or any organization comes forward.
