Young man shot dead while sleeping at home in Khulna

 Young man shot dead Khulna Bureau Miscreants shot and killed a young man named Tanvir Hasan Shuvo (28) through the window of his house in Khulna. He died at Khulna Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment at around 7 am on Wednesday (October 1). Earlier, on Tuesday (September 30) at around 3:30 am, he was shot at his house adjacent to the Maheshwarpasha Paschimpara Bazar Mosque in Daulatpur in the city.  Shuvo is the son of Abul Bashar of that area.
​The deceased Shuvo was working as the General Manager (GM) of an international marketing company. However, his father said that he was preparing to leave his job and go abroad. Confirming the matter, Daulatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Rafiqul Islam said that Shuvo fell asleep playing games while wearing headphones in his room. Hearing the sound of gunfire at around 3:30 am, family members went to his room and found three bullet shells.
He was rushed to Khulna Medical College (KHMC) Hospital in a seriously injured condition. He died at the hospital around 7:30 am while preparations were underway to take him to Dhaka for better treatment. The body is currently at the KHMC morgue. Police have launched an investigation to find out the cause of the murder and those involved.
Police and locals said that Tanvir Hasan Shuvo was sleeping in his house with the doors and windows closed and his mother and younger brother in the same room. The miscreants opened the Thai glass window and shot Shuvo through the window and fled. He was hit twice in the head and once in the left hand. His relatives quickly took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment. He died in the morning while undergoing treatment. Police said that preparations for a case are underway in this incident.
