World Sight Day is celebrated in Chapainawabganj with the theme “Love your eyes”.On Thursday (October 12) morning, organized by the Chapainawabganj Eye Hospital managed by Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association, Chapainawabganj Branch, a public awareness and discussion meeting was held at the eye hospital after the rally toured the important places of the district city.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Motiur Rahman Barjahan, Treasurer of Chapainawabganj Branch of Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association. Honorable general secretary of the association, Abdul Hakim, spoke at the opening ceremony of the free eye treatment as the chief guest. Executive member of the association Abdul Hannan was present as a special guest. Dr. Eye Hospital was also present. Rumana Afroz Leah, Dr. Imran Javed, Dr. Touhidul Islam Sujan, Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman and the officers and employees of the eye hospital. In this regard, the administrative officer of Chapainawabganj Eye Hospital said that free eye treatment was provided to about 250 men and women of different ages in the eye hospital on the occasion of World Sight Day.
