“World Handwashing Day-2023 has been celebrated in Dinajpur by District Administration and Directorate of Public Health Engineering, Dinajpur, with the theme of “Clean hands within your reach”.
On Sunday, October 15, at 11 am, the rally started from Dinajpur District Commissioner Kazarloy square and after the circuit of the main main road of the city, it ended at District Commissioner Kazarloy. The program was inaugurated by washing hands with soap at District Commissioner Kazarloy square. After that, a discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the day in Dinajpur District Commissioner’s conference room.
Dinajpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Mohammad Noor-e-Alam spoke as the chief guest in the meeting. Dinajpur Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Sheikh Md. Jinnah Al Mamun, Sadar Upazila District Officer Md. Ramiz Alam were special guests. In the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of A.N Md. Naimul Ehsan, Civil Engineer of Directorate of Public Health and Engineering, Assistant Engineer of Dinajpur Sadar Upazila, Directorate of Public Health and Engineering Md. Manjurul Islam gave a welcome speech. Officials of various government departments, school teachers among others spoke in the discussion meeting.
Teachers of various educational institutions, students, officials of various departments, representatives of various NGOs etc. were present in the event.
