A training workshop was held with the aim of formulating an integrated action plan to prevent drug abuse in the organization of Bauphal Upazila administration of Patuakhali.
The workshop was held on Twesday morning (14 March 2023) at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
The workshop was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Md Al-Amin. Upazila Awami League Vice-President and Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Women Vice-Chairman Maryam Begum Nishu, Assistant Commissioner Lands and Executive Magistrate Bayezidur Rahman, Upazila Education Officer Atiqul Islam, Bauphal, Medical Officer Dr. Md. Miraj, were present in the workshop. Doctor Sanjida, Academic Supervisor Noor Nabi, Forest Officer Firoz Alam Accounts Officer Md Qayyum Khan, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Masum Billah, SAI Monirul Islam of Bauphal Police Station, Assistant Rural Development Officer Md Ruhul Amin, General Secretary of Bauphal Press Club Arefin Sahid, Joint Press Club Bauphal General Secretary Shafiqul Islam and others. UP chairman, UP members, teachers, imams of mosques and local journalists participated in the workshop.
The speakers at the workshop agreed on building a social movement to curb the spread of drugs.
