UP Chairman Abdullah-Al Mahmud was beaten and forced to sign the appointment papers while detaining Nazrul Islam. The court sent him to prison. On Thursday (June 1), UP chairman Abdullah-Al Mahmud, the president of the madrasa’s managing committee, secretary of relief and social welfare affairs of the upazila Awami League, surrendered and applied for bail in the Koira Senior Judicial Magistrate Court. . Earlier on May 21, the chamber judge ordered the surrender of the accused in the lower court within two weeks by suspending the bail. On May 16, the court of High Court Justices Mustafa Zaman and Aminul Islam granted bail for six weeks to Md Abdullah Al Mahmud, Maulana Masudur Rahman, Maulana Md Mujibur Rahman and Md Russel Hossain, Chairman of Maharajpur Union of Koira and Chairman of the Recruitment Board. The state party filed a review application in the Chamber Judge’s Court on May 17. Accordingly, Justice Inayetur Rahman of the Chamber Judge Court suspended the interim bail after hearing the details on May 21 and ordered him to surrender to the lower court within two weeks. Incidentally, on May 5, the appointment board member Prof. Dr. Jobi to pass the candidate preferred by the president of that madrasa. Nazrul Islam was beaten up. UP Chairman Abdullah Al Mahmood signed the appointment letter after being tortured for almost 5 hours after being detained in his house. Later, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam filed a case in Koira police station naming 8 people including UP chairman Mahmud as plaintiff.
