Uncle Nephew was killed due to past enmity in Rajapur of Jhalkathi. This incident took place in Jagirhat village of Shuktagar union of the upazila at around 8 o’clock on Monday night. After the incident, a suspect was arrested from Mollarhat area of the union and handed over to the police. The deceased A. Rob Howlader (62) son of deceased Mofez Uddin Howlader of Jagirhat area and former UP member of Ward No. 6 of the union and the other deceased Belayet Hossain (56) son of deceased Maqbul Hossain Howlader, elder brother of Rob Howlader. Detained Md. Asad (19) is the son of Md. Emon of Ward No. 3 of Khulna Railgate area. Shahjahan son of deceased Dalil Uddin of Jagirhat area, Mizan son of Sattar, Sajal son of Khadem. It is known that during the incident, Abdur Rob Howlader, nephew of Md. Belayet Hossain, Nasir’s sister-in-law and son of Nasir’s class. Siam was going home from Jagirhat market. At that time, Nasir left behind with his son due to illness. As Rab Hawladar and Belayt approached the house in front, the adversary who was coming from the east, the son of the deceased Modassare. Khadem, Khadem’s son Sajal, Mehdi, Rajan, Akbar’s son Haider, Sattar’s son Mizan, Shahjahan’s son Shakil, Ali Hussain’s son Shahid, Noor Islam’s son Zahid and 14/15 other unknown people stood on the road. When asked why they were on their way, Khadem told his men to be angry, and they suddenly started to fight. which Nasir and his son Siam can see from a distance. The assailants cut down Rob Howlader and threw him into a nearby canal and left Belayet on the road when Siam ran and lifted Rob Howlader from the water in the canal. Later, the local people and relatives brought them both to Rajapur Upazila Complex where the doctor on duty declared them dead. In this regard, Jhalkathi Superintendent of Police Afruzul Haque Tutul said, initially, it is believed that this double murder has taken place based on the spread of dominance. We visited the spot and got some names but for the sake of investigation we don’t want to divulge the names yet. To find out the exact cause of the incident, we have to wait until the investigation is over.
