On Tuesday (28 March 2023), the district administration paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs at the “Rakta Gaurav” monument on the occasion of the historic Cantonment Siege Day in Rangpur. Md. Abu Zafar, Additional Divisional Commissioner (General), Rangpur paid tributes on behalf of the divisional administration.
District administration and Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Sangsad, Rangpur District Unit Command paid tribute with flowers. Chitralekha Nazneen, Deputy Commissioner, Rangpur. On behalf of the upazila administration, flowers were paid by: Noor Nahar Begum, Upazila Executive Officer, Rangpur Sadar. After that, public representatives, representatives of various government and private departments, political organizations, journalists, socio-cultural organizations and related individuals paid their respects.
