There will be no political pressure in administrative work: Masud Sayedee

Md. Shahin Fakir, Pirojpur Correspondent: ​Pirojpur-1 constituency MP Masud Sayedee said, “There will be no political pressure in administrative work. You will work completely independently and without fear.” He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with officials and stakeholders of various departments of the Sadar Upazila level organized by the Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Administration at 11.30 am on Monday (February 23).

‎At the beginning of his speech, Masud Sayedee paid deep tribute to the heroic martyrs of the great Liberation War of 1971 and those who sacrificed their lives in the historic mass uprising of the students and the public in 2024. He said, “The main goal of our current politics is to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of those whose blood we have received this new environment and the opportunity to speak freely.”

‎Emphasizing the professionalism of government officials, MP Masud Sayeedi issued a stern warning, “If anyone comes to seek immoral benefits or lobby by using my name or introducing any of my relatives, he will be handed over directly to the law. No political influence will be allowed on the administration. Pirojpur must be developed as a non-discriminatory town through transparency and accountability.”

‎He announced the relaunch of a special mega project worth Tk 350 crore to alleviate the suffering of citizens of Pirojpur Municipality. He said that through this project, important connecting roads of the city from Nazirpur intersection will be widened and a modern drainage system will be ensured. He assured that these works will start soon in coordination with LGED.

‎ He also said, “It is not enough to just build beautiful academic buildings, but to ensure modern and quality education for students.” He informed about the plan to turn the country’s large population into skilled human resources by ensuring digital classrooms in every educational institution.

‎Masud Sayedee also said, “We will not oppose for the sake of opposition, but rather be partners in every public welfare work of the government. The overall development of Pirojpur requires the collective participation of everyone.”
‎‎​The meeting, chaired by Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mamunur Rashid, was attended by District BNP Member Secretary Saidul Islam Kismat, District Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Principal Zahirul Haque, senior officials from various levels of the administration, officials from every government department of Sadar Upazila, local dignitaries and journalists from print and electronic media.
