In 2019, in Nargun Union area of Sadar Upazila of Thakurgaon district, the third gender community built tin houses under the government shelter scheme. A few days later, semi-finished houses were built for them. As the houses were allotted, they were lying as empty houses for several days. By chance, their team leader Ruby sells 20 tin houses. If the houses are empty, the area is sensational. When the matter came to the attention of the administration, the Nargun union filed a case with the police station against the main owner of the sale of government houses, Rubel alias Ruby, by suing Hasan Ali, the deputy assistant officer of the land office. The police arrested him and handed him over to the court on April 10. The trial court ordered him to be sent to jail. Kamrul Hossain, Police Officer-in-Charge, confirmed the matter. Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Abu Taher said that a 3-member investigation committee headed by Upazila Land Assistant Commissioner Tanzila Tasnim has been formed.
