In a colorful arrangement, the closing and prize distribution ceremony of Departmental Rapid Rating Chess Competition-2023 was held by Tawhid Islam Chess Academy Moulvibazar in the hall of Moulvibazar Press Club. Alhaj Michbahur Rahman, Chairman of Moulvibazar Zilla Parishad and General Secretary of District Sports Association Alhaj Michbahur Rahman inaugurated the Divisional Rapid Rating Chess Competition-2023 under the chairmanship of Tawhid Islam, the founder and director of Moulvibazar Chess Academy and under the supervision of Dabaru Abdul Jalil. General Secretary of Sadar Upazila Awami League Abdul Malik Tarafdar (Sueb), Head of News of Channel S Khaled Chowdhury, General Secretary of Moulvibazar Press Club Panna Dutta, former member of Bangladesh Chess Federation Shah Mahfuzul Karim were as special guests. At this time, there were many well-known chess players including veteran chess player Syed Nazrul Islam, chess player Asiqur Rahman, Syed Abu Iqbal, Radha Kishore Sinha, Mostafa Manowar Shipon, Kaesh Chami, Sahid Ahmad, Machum Ahmad. For the 1st time in Sylhet Division, organized by Tauhid Islam Chess Academy Moulvibazar, Divisional International Rapid Rating Chess Competition-2023 was conducted in Swiss League format. All districts of Sylhet division participated in the game. Alhaj Abu Sufian, chairman of No. 6 Ekatuna Union, was present as the chief guest at the closing and prize distribution ceremony. Moulvibazar District Chess Association President Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed Mom, Social Islami Bank Limited Moulvibazar Manager Mohammad Rushan Miah, Moulvibazar Online Press Club President Sita Ahmed, TA Enterprise Proprietor Mustafa Manowar Shipon were as special guests.
