Tangail district BNP protest rally in police barricade

The District BNP held a protest march and rally in Tangail as part of the central program to implement the one-point demand for the release of former Prime Minister BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and sending her abroad for better treatment.

On October 9, on Monday afternoon, sections from different upazilas of the district gathered in front of Bhasani Hall. When the police stopped them, they gathered in the Beparipara area of ā€‹ā€‹the city. When a procession came out from there and wanted to enter the city, the police barricaded it in Shantikunj Mor area. Once again, the party’s leaders and activists held a short rally there under the police barricade.
Later, Central BNP executive member Fakir Mahabub Anam Swapan was the chief guest at the short rally. District BNP President Hasanuzzamil Shaheen, General Secretary Advocate Farhad Iqbal and others spoke at the meeting.
District BNP former vice-president Ataur Rahman Jinnah, BNP leader Abul Kashem, Kazi Shafiqur Rahman Liton, district Sramik Dal general secretary AKM Monirul Haque Monir, district Jubo Dal convener Khandkar Rashedul Alam Rashed, member secretary Tauhidul Islam Babu, district Chhatra Dal convener Durjoy Hor Shubo were present in the rally. And member secretary MA Baten and various upazila BNP leaders and activists were present.
