PC Das Piyush, Sunamganj : According to the overall information of the upazila-wise polling stations of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum, 89 high-risk centers are in nine upazilas out of 12 upazilas of the 5 parliamentary constituencies of Sunamganj district.
In addition, there are 157 remote centers and 242 risky centers. The District Returning Officer said that there are no high-risk centers in Constituency 1 Jamalganj, Constituency-4 Bishwambharpur and Constituency-5 Doarabazar upazilas. There will be additional monitoring in the high-risk centers.
Out of the four upazilas of Constituency-1, 38 centers in three upazilas are high-risk.
– There are 12 high-risk centers in two upazilas of Constituency-2.
– There are 20 high-risk centers in two upazilas of Constituency-3.
– There are 10 high-risk centers in two upazilas of Constituency-4.
– There are 9 high-risk centers in two upazilas of Constituency-5.
In total, there are 89 high-risk centers.
District Returning Officer Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Ilias Mia said that a mobile team of law enforcement agencies including a magistrate will always be near the high-risk centers.
The location of the team will be such that if any problem arises at the center, it can quickly take position there. In addition, those centers will be monitored through CCTV cameras, and three policemen and armed Ansars led by a sub-inspector will also be on duty.
Incidentally, 8 out of the 12 upazilas of Sunamganj are surrounded by haors. 20 lakh 80 thousand 335 voters in 5 constituencies of the district will exercise their right to vote this time.
