In Sunamganj’s Shalla, a written complaint has been filed against 3 people under the Digital Security Act against 3 people, elected Upazila Press Club President Daily Manabzamin Upazila Representative and Daily Sunamganj Khabar Staff Reporter PC Das Piyush. A written complaint was submitted to duty officer SI Habibur Rahman yesterday on Saturday, March 18 at around 3 pm.The accused defendants are- Pharmacy businessman Biplab Roy (38), son of Barendra Roy of Anandpur village in Upazila Habibpur UP, Harendra Das (69), son of deceased Devendra Das of the same village and Bakul Ahmed, son of deceased Kabir Mia of Dampur village of Shalla UP. According to the written complaint, member secretary Bakul Ahmed and member Biplab Roy of Vandabil Haor sub-project No. 27, who were given the responsibility of repairing the Haor crop protection dam in the financial year 2022-2023, do not have any land in that Haor. They unethically took the PIC from 15/30 km away violating the rules. On March 12, a news item was published in the daily Sunamganj newspaper. On the other hand Harendra Das Bhati was angry with Piyush Shekhar Das, the upazila press club president who was elected by the three together because he could not become a donor member of Bangla College Committee. Therefore, on March 13, Defendant No. 1 Biplab Roy and Defendant No. 3 Bakul Ahmed made a negative video of defendant No. 2 as a speaker and spread it on Facebook through social media from their respective Facebook IDs. In the video, Harendra Das called Piyush Shekhar Das as an extortionist. When I spoke to upazila press club president senior journalist PC Das, he said that the defendants were defeated in the upazila press club elections. Since then they are angry with me. Enraged at him for publishing news about their immoral (Haor Raksha Dam) PIC No. 27, one of my opponents made Harendra Das a speaker and made a video which went viral on social media Facebook. which violated the Digital Security Act. Not only that, I have also filed a written complaint at the police station that I have been defamed in the communication of the 3 defendants. But I am worried about the case record. He said that such allegations were made earlier but he did not get the cooperation of OC Aminul Islam.
