The entire city of Joypurhat has turned into a battlefield for the 1-point demand of the fall of the government. A protester named Mehdi Hasan was killed in the clash. In this incident, at least 50 people, including Awami League leaders and activists, activists and journalists, were injured in the incident. They have been admitted to hospital. Some of them are in critical condition.

The agitators attacked and set fire to the District A.League and Chhatra League offices. Later, the police dispersed the protesters by firing tearshells, sound grenades and bullets to control the situation.

It is known that the agitators came to the zero point of the city with a procession from different places on Sunday at 11 o’clock. Then they held a protest rally there. At that time, a part of the agitators attacked the district Awami League office and set it on fire. At least 20 people of Awami League were injured including the local member of parliament Ed. Samchul Alam Dudu who was in office at that time. After that, the Chhatra League office was set on fire, the Sramik League office was vandalized.

After that, when the police tried to disperse the protestors by throwing tearshells and sound grenades to control the situation, 30 people including the protestors and pedestrians were injured. All the injured have been rescued and admitted to the hospital. One of the injured died on the way to Bogra.
