Student dies of snake bite in Rajbari Pangsha

A school student of class 8 named Safa Parveen (13) died after being bitten by a rare species of snake in Rajbari Pancha.
The deceased was from Joykrishnapur village of Bahadurpur union of Safa Parveen upazila. Daughter of Shahjahan Ali Mandal.
According to family sources, Safa Parveen was sleeping with a mosquito net on her house at night. Around 2 o’clock in the morning when her body was about to burn, Safa thought that she was bitten by a snake when she screamed that her father and mother in the next room heard the screams and came to Safa’s house to see the truth. Later, when they screamed, the people nearby rushed to kill the snake. Safa along with the snake was quickly brought to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex and the doctor on duty referred him to Kushtia General Hospital. Seeing the deterioration of his condition, the doctor on duty advised him to take him to Dhaka or Rajshahi for better treatment. Later, when they took Safa to Dhaka for better treatment, her condition worsened and she was taken to Khoksa Upazila Health Complex, after which the doctor on duty declared her dead.
The deceased was a 8th class student of Shaheed Khabiruzzaman High School of Bahadurpur Union of Safa Parveen Upazila. His untimely death has cast a shadow of mourning on the area.’
