This is the first time in the district of North Bengal that Chapainawabganj Ophthalmic Hospital has started the advanced phaco operation process.
On Thursday (May 23) morning, at Chapainawabganj Ophthalmology Hospital run by Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Society located in Chapainawabganj district city, cataract surgery and high-quality lens replacement process was started with the latest technology phaco machine.
Dr. Azizur Rahman Alam, Consultant, Bangladesh Eye Hospital Dhaka participated in the newly added phaco operation process in the eye hospital.
Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association Chapainawabganj Branch Chairman (Acting) and District Council Chairman Alhaj Ruhul Amin, Vice Chairman Dr. Durrul Hoda, General Secretary Abdul Hakim, Treasurer Matiur Rahman Barjahan, Executive Member Abdul Hannan, Executive Member Farooq Ali, Executive Member Bir Muktijoddha Abdur Rahman Turu. Dr. Civil Surgeon representative was present. Dr. Rakibul Islam, ophthalmologist surgeon of the hospital. Rumana Afroz Leah, Dr. Touhidul Islam Sujan, Dr. Jahangir Alam and others. Administrative officer of the hospital Yusuf Ali and others were there.
Dr. present. Azizur Rahman Alam said that the type of medical services provided in Dhaka at Eye Hospital of Chapai Nawabganj Branch of Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association will be better surgery with phaco machine in North Bengal District Chapainawabganj.
Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association, Chapai Nawabganj Branch General Secretary thanked the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said that high-quality technology-based R&D treatment will continue in the eye hospital, so that common people can get access to timely and advanced medical services at low cost. He said that our main goal is to eliminate blindness.
