Pakistan were cornered after the centuries of the two openers. However, Babar Azam’s team returned to the fight by picking up 3 wickets in a short period of time. However, Australia is on the way to a big collection. As of writing this report, after 39 overs, Australia has accumulated 291 runs for 3 wickets.

David Warner is 144 and Marcus Stoinis is unbeaten on 2 runs. 259 runs in 33.4 overs in the opening. Mitchell Marsh and David Warner scored a double century with the batting in Marquette. Pakistan was literally crying out for a wicket. Finally Shaheen Shah Afridi broke the marathon opening pair. Marsh caught Usama Mir at short fine leg. Marsh hit 10 boundaries and 9 sixes in an innings of 121 runs off 108 balls.

This is also his career best innings. Shaheen Afridi picked up another wicket after breaking the devastating opening pair.
