On Friday 29th September in the afternoon of Chitodda Union’s Muriara Government Primary School ground, in a ceremony organized by Chitodda Union Awami League and its affiliates, the candidate for Bangladesh Awami League’s boat symbol in Comilla-8 (Barura) seat, Comilla South District Awami League Vice President A.Z.M. With the financing of Shafiuddin (Shamim), 1 auto rickshaw to 9 unemployed helpless men of 9 wards of the union, 1 sewing machine to 9 helpless women, medical assistance to 9 sick patients, maternity allowance to 9 destitute women who cannot have children, Honors and gifts were given to 18 martyrs and senior Awami League leaders and financial assistance was given to 9 mosques.

The civic society of Chitodda said that it is an exemplary and humanitarian initiative to support the 54 families by extending humanitarian aid to the poor and indigent men, reducing the plight of helpless poor women, health issues of maternity mothers and those suffering from extreme poverty.
There were expressions of satisfaction and reliance on the faces of people who came to get battery-powered auto-rickshaws and sewing machines and medical assistance and maternity allowance as support for self-employment. They say that if all the rich people of the society had come forward as Shamim Sahib is standing next to our poor and needy, then there would be no more poor people in this country. We pray for him that he can always serve people like this and be by the side of the hardworking people. At the same time, we talked to some senior Awami League leaders, they said that earlier the honor of grassroot level leaders like us was far away, senior leaders did not even inquire. The initiative of honoring and giving gifts to senior leaders is a unique example of Shamim Saheb’s political etiquette. A senior Awami League leader who received the award in an emotional voice said that he feels blessed that Jiban Sayane has come to appreciate us.
In the speech of the chief guest A.Z.M Shafiuddin (Shamim) said, I am working to improve the quality of life of the local residents by prioritizing five basic issues- 1) Providing self-employment by reducing dependency, 2) Reducing the health risks of pregnant mothers and unborn children, 3) Medical assistance for the poor, 4) Construction of religious places of worship and Reforms, 5) Valuing the party’s dedicated, selfless, devoted and senior leaders. I feel blessed to be able to come to the local people in today’s event, to stand beside those who are spending their days in various problems and to honor the senior and devoted leaders of the party.
In the meantime, the work of distribution of grants, awarding and organizing party leaders and workers in Aganagar, Payalgacha, Shilmuri (S), Khoshbas (N), Shakpur, Khoshbas (S), Adra and Jhalom Unions of the upazila has been completed, each union of Barura Upazila has been completed. He said that this activity will continue in the municipality. He said, making poor people self-reliant, eradicating poverty, reducing unemployment, building skilled manpower and creating employment is one of the goals of me and SQ Foundation. To achieve this goal, my family has been conducting various support activities for the last 30 years.
He also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman brought independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh through the Great War of Liberation in 1971. His privileged daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing the dream of building a golden Bengal. People’s leader Sheikh Hasina has written the path of our economic liberation. Unprecedented development was achieved throughout the country during his rule. Bangladesh is now a wonder of the world in terms of development and prosperity. Bangladesh has achieved significant success in almost all economic indicators. Bangladesh has now become a developing country from a less developed country. The standard of living has changed through education, health, per capita income, civil services and multifaceted social security programs.
He said let’s all join together to continue the development and modernization under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and re-elect Bangabandhu’s leader Sheikh Hasina and her party.

Barura through multifaceted support programs including food, education, medical treatment and housing.
