Police have recovered the throat slit body of a trader named Dulal Kha (57) from a pond in Dhobaura, Mymensingh.
The body was recovered from Dighirpar area of ​​Baghber union of the upazila on Monday (May 4) morning.
The deceased Dulal Kha is the son of the deceased Mukarram Kha of the area. He was a rice trader.
Police and local sources said, rice trader Dulal Kha did not return home on Sunday night. Family members thought that he could not return at night due to increased work pressure. However, in the morning, a local person found Dulal Kha’s throat slit body on a pond bank approximately 300 yards north of his house. Later, the police informed the police station and recovered the body.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhobaura Police Station Md. Shafiqul Islam said, the body has been sent to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. An investigation is underway to find out why he was killed. Efforts are being made to arrest those involved by worrying them. Preparations are underway to file a case against an unknown accused.
