Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-10) has arrested a drug dealer with 50 bottles of phenysidyl worth around Rs 04 lakh in Dhaka’s Keraniganj.

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in maintaining the law and order and anti-drug drives in the country. As part of the RAB’s regular drive to protect the youth from the tyrant of drugs, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a raid on the RAB-10, including the CPC-1 Jatrabari camp, during the evening estimates of 16/06/2026.

 Based on intelligence information, a smartly avicant team of RAB-10, CPC-1 Jatrabari camp *Today, 16/01/2026, a drug dealer with a bus of a drug dealer in Dhaka district’s South Keraniganj area. The arrested drug dealers are identified as Mosa: Manjura Akhter Jolly (31), husband- Md Mohidul Islam, Sang-Khosalpur, Thana- Maheshpur, District- Jhenaidah.

It is believed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. He had been illegally collecting phensidyl and other narcotics from the border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying it to different parts of the country, including Dhaka, in an innovative way. There is a drug case against the accused. A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been handed over to the concerned police station at South Keraniganj police station in Dhaka.

Drug abuse is the worst in society. It is destroying our youth, creating unrest in the family and threatening state security. The RAB firmly believes that peace and development in the society cannot be achieved without the implementation of the “Zero Tolerance” policy to eradicate drugs. The RAB-10 is working with the highest professionalism and sincerity in the drug eradication drive. In the future, RAB’s campaign against drugs, weapons, terrorism and extortion will continue.
