Rajshahi Barendra Press Club pays tribute on Independence Day

Rajshahi Barendra Press Club paid deep tribute to the brave martyrs on the occasion of Independence Day and National Day on March 26. This tribute was paid by placing wreaths at Rajshahi College Shaheed Minar at 12:01 am in the first hour of the day. Earlier, members started gathering at Rajshahi Barendra Press Club premises from 11:00 pm on March 25 to participate in the program. Later, at 11:30 pm, they took a rally from the club premises and set off for Rajshahi College Shaheed Minar. Under the leadership of Rajshahi Barendra Press Club President Rezaul Karim and General Secretary Shamsul Islam, the leaders and members of the club placed wreaths at the altar of Shaheed Minar at 12:01 am.
After the wreath-laying ceremony, a moment of silence was observed in memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war.
At this time, the leaders said that this event is organized every year to uphold the ideals of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country. This year’s program saw spontaneous participation and loud presence of the club members. After paying tribute, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs and the prosperity of the country.
