 The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been conducting regular operations, adhering to the “zero tolerance” policy against drugs. In continuation of this, the skilled and smart operation team of RAB-10 was able to arrest three drug dealers along with a large quantity of drugs on the night of 01/10/2025 based on secret information. The first operation was conducted in the Suryanagar Bazar area of ​​Daopara Union under Shibchar Police Station in Madaripur district. In this operation, which was conducted at approximately 21.05 hours at night, two professional drug dealers were arrested along with 16 (sixteen) kg of marijuana worth about 4,80,000/- (four lakh eighty thousand) taka. Names of the arrested drug dealers 1. Ibrahim Matubbar (37), father- Md. Azgar Ali Matubbar, Sang-Bahara Paschim Para, 2. Zia Uddin Khan (35), father- deceased Tafsir Khan, Sang-Bahara Khanpara, both police stations- Muksudpur, District- Gopalganj is known.
Then the second operation was conducted at approximately 22.55 hours at night, in Bahara Madhyapara area of ​​Batikamari union under Muksudpur police station of Gopalganj district. In this operation, 5 (five) kg of ganja worth about 1,50,000/- (one lakh fifty thousand) taka was recovered and another professional drug dealer was arrested. The name of the arrested drug dealer is known as Md. Imran Mia (39), father- deceased Altaf Hossain, Sang-Bahara Madhyapara, Police Station- Muksudpur, District- Gopalganj.  It is revealed that the arrested accused were involved in the illegal drug trade in an organized manner for a long time. They used to collect marijuana and other narcotics from various sources and supply them to Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj and surrounding districts. The arrested persons along with the recovered narcotics have been handed over to the concerned police station for filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act.
Drugs are a terrible disease of society, which is pushing the youth towards destruction, destroying family ties and is a threat to national security. RAB-10 firmly believes that it is not possible to build a safe, peaceful and developed society without implementing the zero tolerance policy for drug eradication. Such operations of RAB will continue in the future as well.
